Description:

Thanks to Ableton's unique scale aware system, we can now "tune" reverbs to the key and scale we are working in. This Ableton Live set includes 4 different instrument racks, complete with some interesting presets to get you started. Watch the video showing how to use here: https://youtu.be/lfdk7I9zaHU

Instructions:

To use this set, download the file, unzip, and open it up. (Requires Ableton Live Suite 12.2.7 and above) Choose a Key and Scale, and either play using the instance of Drift called "💥 REPLACE ME" or replace that drift with whatever instrument or plugin you want to add the tuned reverbs to. Then try out some presets and blend the Dry/Wet macro to taste.

Tips:

1. There is an Ableton Pitch device in the signal chain which will force all the notes you play to the scale you've chosen for the set or for individual clips. This will make it impossible to play accidentals outside of your chosen scale or key. If you wish to have full chromatic freedom, simply turn it off or delete it. In most cases it makes sense to leave the pitch device on, but its not necessary to use for the tuned reverb effect.

2. You can save these racks in your browser but know that you will likely need to go into the spectral reverbs and physically choose the track that is providing the incoming midi notes manually. This is why I decided to release this as an Ableton Live Set vs the individual racks.
